Tell Me a Story: Locality and Narrative – Exhibition

The Rockbund Art Museum gathered eleven artists and collectives/groups in the exhibition “Tell Me a Story: Locality and Narrative”. Each one of them is offering a specific story, using various mediums and installations. These stories are meant to trigger our reflection on how time and space interact together. The exhibition explores this relation in many directions, such as past transformations and future utopias, margins, mobility and uprooting as well as as the fragility of local cultures and identities.

“Tell Me a Story: Locality and Narrative” is be held in Rockbund Art Museum of Shanghai from May 28 to August 14, 2016. It features Au Sow-Yee, Chen Chieh-Jen, Guo Xi and Zhang Jianling, Haejun Jo and Kyeong Soo Lee, MAP Office (Laurent Gutierrez, Valérie Portefaix), Filed Recordings (Li Xiaofei, Jim Speers, Clinton Watkins, Tracey Guo and Tu Neill), Su Yu-Hsien, Koki Tananka, Watan Wuma, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Tomoko Yoneda.
