These two blocks of buildings, made up of about fifteen elegant white towers each, represent one of the flagship projects of the Beijing Central Business District. This complex benefitted from the economic boom of the 2000s and the high pace globalization that occurred in China. Rinken Yamamoto, a Japanese architect, designed the whole project, inspired by the shape of an Arabic market. At ground level, a large public space was cleared, with multiple points of access to the streets outside. From the esplanade the underground levels can also be seen, as well as a terrace which serves as a socle to support the complex’s towers, which in turn offer a breathtaking view of all of the town’s most important sights.
