Designed by British architect Balfours and built in 1933, this slaughterhouse was one of the biggest in Asia. In accordance with its original requirements it has a sturdy structure and a large atrium. Its original architecture, which has been preserved, is a combination of Chinese and Western elements. In 2008 the building has been renovated into a creative centre that coexists with commercial spaces.
