Established in the periphery of Shanghai, the Shanghai Sculpture Park was largely funded by Tsao Ryh-chang, CEO of the Taiwanese Chin Pao San Foundation, which promotes sculpture in Taiwan as well as in Mainland China. As the park hugs the lake, and the main theme of the park is “Life”, many sculptures depict water as one of its essential elements. The different banks of the lake have various arrangements, each depicting one of the four seasons.
